Research focus
My research aims at understanding the molecular mechanisms controlling adipose tissue expansion and lipotoxicity.
Background and experience
I obtained my Bachelor of Medicine in 2020 at Fudan University (China). Later that year, I joined Prof. Qi-qun Tang’s Lab at Fudan University as a research assistant. I joined the TVP lab at IMS-MRL as a PhD student in 2021. I enjoy working on my project at the IMS-MRL and the many opportunities to collaborate and communicate with other people in the team.
Working at the IMS-MRL
My current project investigates the potential role of a zinc-finger protein family member (ZFP) in white (WAT) and brown adipose tissue (BAT) physiology and how changes in the expression and/or activity of this ZFP contribute to the pathogenesis of obesity and associated comorbidities. I am currently the Chair of the Student Committee at the IMS-MRL.
