Research focus
I work in the Disease Model Core (DMC) where I am responsible for developing new techniques, new methods and new technologies to support research in the IMS-MRL.
Background and experience
I did my PhD training in hypoxia-induced pulmonary hypertension in rodent models at Imperial College London, based at the Hammersmith Campus. I had been working in the same field for more than 20 years before I joined the DMC in 2019.
Working at the IMS-MRL
My day-to-day work includes performing routine and specialist procedures and metabolic experiments to generate data for the IMS-MRL researchers and their programmes. I also independently design, develop and implement new experimental methodologies which can be used to support cutting-edge research within our department.
